Charles Kato

Charles Kato has extensive work experience in the nuclear energy industry. Since 2014, they have worked as a Principal Nuclear Engineer at NextEra Energy Services, where they lead a team in the operation of a nuclear power plant and provides outage support. Charles also interprets and analyzes interrelationships between systems and components, designs projects, and develops standards. Prior to this, they worked at Tennessee Valley Authority, where they held various roles including Nuclear Plant Performance Cause Analyst and Metallurgical Engineer. In these positions, they performed evaluations and analyses, implemented corrective action plans, and reviewed root cause analyses. Charles also worked at TRW as a Metallurgist, where they submitted material certification reports and conducted tests on production run parts. As a Metallurgical Engineering Intern at Tennessee Valley Authority, they assisted in addressing materials and corrosion issues and conducted research on stress corrosion cracking.

Charles Kato obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Alabama from 2001 to 2006.
