Dan Deboer

Dan DeBoer is an experienced nuclear corporate executive currently serving as Vice President at NextEra Energy, Inc. since October 2022. Previously, Dan held multiple leadership positions at Florida Power & Light Company from October 2010 to October 2022, including Site Vice President of the St. Lucie Nuclear Station. Dan's career in the nuclear industry began at Exelon Nuclear, where Dan worked as Operations Director and Manager of Nuclear Security from May 2004 to October 2010. Prior experience includes various roles at Progress Energy from October 1997 to April 2004, management positions at Tennessee Valley Authority from November 1993 to October 1997, and serving as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the US Navy from May 1990 to October 1993. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, earned between 1984 and 1988.
