Matt Starfield

Matt Starfield is a Senior Electrical Engineer at NextFab. Matt has over fifteen years of experience in the engineering field, including managerial experience. Prior to joining NextFab, Matt worked as a Technical Manager at Boeing, where they led a team of over twenty direct reports on the Equipment Design and Installation Integrated Product Team for the Domestic and International Chinook helicopter programs. While at Boeing, Matt was responsible for technical, cost, and schedule performance of the team, and they successfully implemented changes that resulted in significant cost savings, a reduction in engineering defects, and a reduction in late engineering from the previous program. Matt also has experience working as a Research And Teaching Assistant at Penn State University, where they worked on an Air Force funded research project to detect defects in a composite plate using ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation techniques. Additionally, Matt has interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Matt Starfield holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.

Matt Starfield earned their Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Penn State University and their Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science and Mechanics from the same school.
