Lead UX Researcher at Nexthink

Marc Lauffs has a diverse work experience in the field of UX research and scientific collaboration. Marc is currently working at Nexthink as a Lead UX Researcher since February 2022, and previously worked as a UX Researcher at the same company since November 2019. Before joining Nexthink, Marc worked as a UX Researcher at Google from February 2019 to November 2019, where they conducted user experience research for the Google Assistant for mobile devices. Marc collaborated with cross-functional product development teams and performed various research methods such as usability studies, interviews, surveys, eye tracking, literature reviews, remote studies, diary studies, live experiments, and heuristic evaluations. Prior to Google, Marc briefly worked as a Usability Engineer/Human Factors Engineer at Merck Group in 2019. In 2018, they were a Scientific Collaborator at bfu - Beratungsstelle für Unfallverhütung, and from 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Scientific Collaborator and Doctoral Researcher at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) where they focused on vision science, cognitive neurosciences, and memory performance research. Marc also has experience as a Consultant at Airbus Defence and Space - Intelligence and as a Destination Manager and Travel Guide at ruf Jugendreisen GmbH & Co. KG, Europe's largest tour operator specialized in minors. Marc also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Twente in 2011-2012.

Marc Lauffs completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Twente, which they pursued from 2005 to 2012. Following this, they went on to attain a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Neuroscience from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2013 to 2017.
