James Yi

James Yi has a long and varied work experience. James began their career in 2009 as an Intern at the Chicago Climate Exchange. James then moved to Robert A. Weisman Ltd. as a Legal Clerk. In 2011, they took on two roles, one as an Associate at Arbor Investments, Inc. and the other as Head Publisher/Project Manager at Mediaplanet. In 2013, they Co-Founded NextME and served as a Board Member. In 2017, they founded and became the CEO of Leaf Trade, a wholesale marketplace between cultivators/processors and dispensaries in the highly regulated cannabis states. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Member of The Economic Club of Chicago.

James Yi attended DePaul University from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International/Global Studies.
