Samvit Thakur

Samvit Thakur has a diverse work experience beginning in 2016 when they started as a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they completed a M. S. in applied mathematics in December 2020. In 2018, Samvit worked as a Software Developer Internship at IBM, where they developed a sandbox to analyze malware samples using virtual machines in Linux and created a front-end to enable an end-user to submit packet captures over the Internet in the Angular framework. In 2021, Samvit began working as a DevOps Engineer at NextShift, where they are currently developing another ETL application in Python using many of the below listed technologies to fetch REST API data, load that onto a Postgres database, and make the data more feature-rich to satisfy business requirements. Samvit has also developed an ETL application from scratch in Python using Git and Bitbucket for source code management that automatically on a time-schedule fetches SOAP API data and loads that data onto a PostgreSQL database, with additional functionality to track the history of the state of that data as a whole over time.

Samvit Thakur completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2019, followed by a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the same institution in 2020.
