Aleksandar Beric

Director Of R&d Serbia at NextSilicon

Aleksandar Beric has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Aleksandar is currently the Director of R&D Serbia at NextSilicon since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at ASML as a Senior Principal Architect, SW from March 2020 to December 2021, where they focused on innovating at the software architecture level and improving efficiency and productivity. Aleksandar has also held various roles at Intel Corporation, including Wireless System Architect from July 2018 to March 2020, Imaging Architect from May 2015 to March 2020, and Engineering Manager from March 2011 to May 2015. Additionally, they worked at Silicon Hive as a Senior DSP and Applications Engineer from 2006 to 2011, where they led the advanced imaging/video department. Aleksandar started their career at Philips Research, where they completed their PhD in Video Post-Processing Architectures from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they participated in a Student Exchange Program at Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Technology, focusing on signal processing in the domain of emotional engineering from 1999 to 2000.

Aleksandar Beric pursued their education in a sequential manner. Aleksandar first attended the Mathematical grammar school in Belgrade from 1991 to 1995. Aleksandar then proceeded to the University of Belgrade, where they studied Electrical Engineering, earning a Dipl. Ing. degree between 1995 and 2001. Continuing their academic journey, Beric pursued a PhD at the Eindhoven University of Technology from 2002 to 2006, specializing in Computer Architecture and Video Processing.
