Avril Somerville is a seasoned Talent Development Specialist with extensive experience in leadership development and coaching. Currently, Avril serves as Director of Leadership Excellence & Self Actualization at NextWave Partners and Director of Leadership Development & Self Actualization at Atlas Professionals, both positions held since April 2024. As Managing Director of AspireLeadSucceed since March 2017, Avril focuses on bespoke leadership development training, executive coaching, and succession planning within technical engineering sectors. Previous roles include Managing Director UK & International at Talascend Worldwide Technical Resources, Group Training & Development Director at NES Global Talent, and Coaching Manager at Sky. Avril also founded avrilsomervilletraining from July 2005 to October 2011. Avril holds an MA in English/Drama/Film & TV from the University of Glasgow, completed from 1980 to 1983.
