Michael Bollands

Michael Bollands is an experienced Engineering Manager with a career spanning various leadership roles in service and facilities management. Currently serving as the Engineering Manager for Buildings and Facilities at Nexus Rail since September 2009, Michael oversees a team of approximately 70 staff, focusing on a wide range of building services, including electrical and mechanical maintenance, structural civil maintenance, and complex fire and security solutions across an estate of 70 buildings. Prior experience includes roles as Bid Manager at Tyne & Wear Metro, General Manager at Dorma, and Area Service Manager at ADT Fire & Security, where expertise in service management, project management, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement was developed. Michael holds a BA in Computer Studies from the University of Sunderland and a BA in Business Management & Administration from the University of Leeds.
