Jonathan Looney

Jonathan Looney has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jonathan is currently the Director of Nexus3 Lab at Nexus Cognitive, where they collaborate with clients to develop and execute product strategies using web3 technology. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Product Designer at Nexus Cognitive, where they contributed to the design and development of high-impact strategies for a large eCommerce platform.

Before joining Nexus Cognitive, Jonathan worked as a Product Manager at Relm, a Fintech company focused on providing financial literacy to college campuses. Jonathan conducted user research, developed product strategies, and coordinated with designers and developers for an app store release.

Jonathan also worked as a Digital Director at City Bank from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, they served as a Product Designer at Viva First, a fintech company providing financial assistance to underbanked communities. At Viva First, they collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to redesign the user experience and assisted in the entire product development lifecycle.

Earlier in their career, Jonathan was a Senior Developer and Designer at DesignEnvy, where they helped clients innovate their products and improve their digital experiences. Jonathan also had various roles at Texas Tech University, including Adjunct Professor, Senior User Experience Designer, Marketing Coordinator, and Web Designer. In these roles, they worked on website design, marketing campaigns, and brand identity development.

Jonathan Looney attended Texas Tech University from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Communication Design.
