Ryan Taff has a diverse range of work experience in the education and sports coaching industries. Ryan began their career as a Teaching Assistant at The City School from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they worked as a PE Teacher at Dinnington High School and ASTON COMMUNITY EDUCATION TRUST in 2015 and 2016, respectively. In these roles, they were responsible for planning and delivering lessons, developing curriculum plans, managing student behavior, and engaging with parents and other stakeholders.
In 2015, Ryan also worked as a Teacher at Protocol Education, where they taught students with behavioral difficulties and significant learning needs. Ryan performed similar duties to their previous teaching roles, including curriculum planning, behavior management, and supporting the social well-being of students.
From 2016 to 2017, Ryan took on seasonal roles as a Sports Coach at Scott Dunn and Carnival Corporation, where they planned and delivered sports sessions, ensured the welfare and safety of children and adults, engaged with parents, and managed behavior.
Ryan then transitioned to a role at the Priory Group in 2016, working as a Teacher in a special behavioral school. Here, they continued to plan and deliver lessons, develop curriculum plans, enhance the learning experience for students, and collaborate with external agencies and support services.
In 2017, Ryan joined Kings Foundation as Operations and Programs Manager, where they were responsible for managing staff teams and overseeing the delivery of programs across various camps. Ryan also worked as a Site & Regional Manager, leading teams and ensuring the quality and standards of camp programs.
In 2020, Ryan joined Ethos Academy Trust as Assistant Head Teacher, focusing on strategic development in areas such as safeguarding, behavior and attitudes, attendance, and leadership and management. Ryan worked as part of a senior leadership team to drive the academy towards providing an outstanding education and school experience.
Currently, Ryan holds the position of Deputy Head Teacher at Nexus Multi Academy Trust, starting in 2023. Additional details about this role are not provided.
Ryan Taff completed a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Youth Sport at Sheffield Hallam University from 2007 to 2010. Ryan later pursued a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Physical Education at the same university from 2013 to 2014.
