Vanessa Ballesteros

Vanessa Ballesteros has been working in the unscripted production industry since 2005. Vanessa began their career at Mark Burnett Productions as a Producer, where they worked on series such as The Contender, Rock Star, Pirate Master, Bully Beatdown, and Mark Burnett Presents King of the Cage: Live MMA Broadcasts. After that, they freelanced with other major production companies. In 2014, they became a Showrunner/EP/Co-EP for Freelance Unscripted Production, where they have worked on series for both network and streaming. Vanessa has been instrumental in crafting series formats and managing the high-level creative decision-making to deliver great content. In 2015, they founded Sunbox Inc., a tech and education start-up dedicated to integrating employer-defined skills into K-12 and postsecondary classrooms. In 2019, they became a Product & Business Development Consultant for NexusEdge Education. In this role, they advise the organization on multiple business initiatives, primarily using their storytelling skills to translate their mission into connection with users.

Vanessa Ballesteros attended John Marshall High School from 2001 until graduation in 2001. Vanessa then attended New York University for undergraduate studies from 2001 to 2002. Vanessa then transferred to the University of Southern California, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree from 2002 to 2004.
