Thompson Bliss

Thompson Bliss is an experienced data scientist specializing in football operations, currently serving as Senior Manager at the National Football League (NFL) since February 2020, after progressing through roles as Manager and Data Scientist. Prior to this, Thompson was a consultant for the NFL, focusing on win probability models and officiating data analysis, and worked as a data intern developing a play-by-play win probability model. Thompson also contributed as a Teacher's Assistant at Columbia Business School, supporting Professor Mark Broadie in sports analytics projects, and taught math to high school students in a summer program through the University of Wisconsin. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Data Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
