William Hodder

William Hodder has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. William is currently the Chief Executive Officer at NFlection Therapeutics since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Business Officer at Escient Pharmaceuticals from March 2019 to October 2021.

Before joining Escient Pharmaceuticals, Hodder worked as a Corporate/Business Development Consultant at BioPharma Strategy and Consulting from February 2018 to March 2019. William also held the position of President & CEO at Vapogenix Inc. from October 2017 to January 2018.

From December 2014 to October 2017, Hodder served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Protagonist Therapeutics. During this time, they managed the corporate development activities of the company, including licensing, M&A, and contracting, and successfully completed several significant transactions.

Hodder also worked as a Corporate/Business Development Consultant at BioPharma Strategy and Consulting from 2010 to December 2014. Additionally, they co-founded Trenovus Inc. and served as its CEO from 2010 to December 2012.

Earlier in their career, Hodder held senior positions at FibroGen Inc. as the Vice President of Business Development from April 2001 to January 2010. William was responsible for all licensing and M&A activities and managed a team of professionals. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Business Development & Marketing at Aradigm Corporation from 1997 to 2001, where they negotiated agreements and developed strategic plans for the company.

Hodder started their career as a Product Manager and Project Team Leader at Penederm Incorporated. William was responsible for the marketing activities of AVITA, a prescription acne product.
