Melinda Burke

Melinda Burke has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Melinda is currently working as a Human Resources Generalist at NFM Lending since May 2022. Prior to this, Melinda worked at SECU Credit Union for several years, starting as a Teller in 2012. Melinda then progressed through various roles, including Financial Services Consultant, Senior Financial Service Consultant, University Financial Service Advisor Team Lead, Financial Service Advisor Team Leader, Member Advisor II, and finally Member Advisor III. Throughout these roles, Melinda demonstrated skills in team leadership, staff training and development, conflict resolution, operations and administration, and recruitment.

Before their tenure at SECU Credit Union, Melinda worked as a Sales Associate at Ed Hardy, where they excelled in customer service and retail sales. Melinda also gained administrative experience as an Administrative Intern at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. in 2011. Melinda's experience showcases their adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of human resources and financial services industries.

Melinda Burke obtained a Master of Science in Management with a focus on Human Resources Management from Wilmington University in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Towson University in 2014. In addition to their degrees, Melinda has obtained several certifications, including Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Learning LinkedIn Recruiter, New Manager Foundations, Talent Sourcing, and SHRM-CP. These certifications were obtained from institutions such as LinkedIn and SHRM, with the most recent certification being SHRM-CP in May 2018.
