Marco Uzielli

Marco Uzielli serves as a Professor, Senior Researcher, Researcher, and Part-time Professor at Università degli Studi di Firenze since September 2018. Uzielli is also the Scientific Director, Founding Partner, Director of Strategic Planning, CEO, and Technical Director at Georisk Engineering S.r.l., a Florence-based consulting company specializing in geotechnical engineering and risk analysis since March 2008. Additionally, Uzielli holds positions as an Expert Consultant in Geotechnical Uncertainty and Georisk Analysis at the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems and the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, as well as at the International Centre for Geohazards since 2005. Uzielli's early career included work as a Geotechnical Engineer at Studio Tekhnè in 2001. Uzielli earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from Università degli Studi di Firenze (2001-2004) and a Laurea in Geotechnical Engineering from the same institution (1989-2000), following an International Baccalaureate from the International School of Florence (1975-1989).
