Mohit Somani

Mohit Somani is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute since March 2023. Previously, Somani held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Estonian University of Life Sciences from December 2021 to February 2023 and served as a Visiting Researcher at École des Ponts ParisTech in late 2022. Somani's academic journey includes an Early Doctoral Fellow and Research Scholar role at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from July 2016 to November 2021, alongside a Newton Bhabha Research Fellowship at Cardiff University from October 2020 to January 2021. Prior academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at DIT UNIVERSITY from July 2015 to July 2016. Somani earned a Ph.D. in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (July 2016 - September 2021), an MTech in Environmental Geotechnology from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology (July 2013 - June 2015), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (October 2009 - May 2013).
