Tomas Tam is a Senior Geoscientist at NGI - Norwegian Geotechnical Institute since August 2022, specializing in the interpretation and assessment of geohazards related to shallow marine data for offshore energy projects globally. Prior experience includes roles as Project Geologist at HiSeis Pty Ltd, Consultant Geophysicist at VGS & Associates Pty Ltd, and Geologist at ABIM Solutions Pty Ltd, with a focus on seismic data interpretation for mineral exploration and subsurface data management. Tomas has also served as a Researcher at CSIRO, a Petroleum Data Manager for N.T. Geological Survey, and held various positions at Chevron and CGG, including Reservoir Geoscientist and Imaging Geophysicist. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD candidacy from The University of Western Australia and master’s degrees from Okayama University and the University of the Philippines, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of the Philippines.
