Brecht Van Craen is an accomplished entrepreneur and expert in the web3 space with over eight years of experience. Currently serving as Co-founder and CEO of WeRate since January 2024, Brecht leverages extensive expertise in blockchain, team building, and consumer psychology to drive mass adoption of decentralized applications. As the Founder of Digital Currency Academy, Brecht built the largest web3 educational company in Belgium, fostering a community passionate about blockchain education. Additional roles include Belgium Chapter Lead for Decentralized, Author of a bestselling book on blockchain, Ambassador for NGRAVE and the Institute For the Future, and Co-Founder of the HR tech platform karamel. Brecht’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Ghent University and a Master of Science in Digital Currency from the University of Nicosia, complemented by various certifications in finance and information technology.
