Soumitra Agarwal

Soumitra Agarwal is Managing Partner at NGS Global based in Mumbai, India where he has lived and worked for the last 25 years. A former executive in operating roles, Mr. Agarwal possesses deep industry and market know-how, and has successfully conducted numerous C-level and senior leadership search assignments for large, mid-sized and emerging enterprises across a variety of industries. In addition, he has worked closely with Private Equity/Venture Capital funds to help their portfolio companies hire leadership talent at various stages of their lifecycle. He is also a member of our technology, industrial, consumer, professional services, and financial services practice groups.

Mr. Agarwal’s strengths lie in approaching each search assignment by examining foundational aspects about the organization and leveraging his knowledge of business/ leadership issues to become a trusted advisor to clients while he formulates a comprehensive search strategy that aligns with their business needs. In India, he is well connected to the senior executive community, which aids him in identifying exceptional leadership talent for organizations. Throughout the process, Mr. Agarwal works in partnership with his clients to ensure their success.

In the past, Mr. Agarwal has also spoken on gender diversity and was a panelist on the discussion “Road to Executive Leadership for Women Leaders” at the Grace Hopper Conference in Bangalore, 2012. He is a close follower of how newer business models and innovation are changing the old order across industry sectors.

Mr. Agarwal holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, India, and is a post-graduate in management from Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta.
