Karen Seidel

Karen Seidel has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Karen recently held the position of Senior Actuary - Actuarial Planning and Project Management at Aspen Insurance Group. Prior to that, they served as the Business Lead for Data Science and Analytics, as well as the Head of Actuarial at NHBC. Karen has also worked as an Actuarial Contractor at KPMG and has held various roles at Lloyd's, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, Financial Services Authority, Legal & General, and Deloitte. Their expertise lies in actuarial planning, project management, data science, analytics, capital modelling, reserving, and general insurance consulting.

Karen Seidel has an extensive education history. Karen obtained their DPhil in Computer Science from the University of Oxford from 1989 to 1992. Prior to that, they pursued an MSc in Applied Statistics and Operational Research at Birkbeck, University of London from 1987 to 1989. Karen completed their undergraduate studies in Mathematics, earning a BSc from Bradford University from 1983 to 1986. Before attending university, they obtained their Abitur from Johanneum, Luebeck. As for certifications, they hold an FIA certification.
