Farah Karimi

Farah Karimi is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in governance and development. As the Founder of Simurgh Leadership Academy since May 2022, Karimi has also served as a Member of the Supervisory Board for PAX for Peace and as a Member of the Dutch Senate since June 2019, holding the position of Vice-chair of the GreenLeft parliamentary group. Additional roles include membership on the Supervisory Board of NHL Stenden Hogeschool and previous chairmanship at Writers Unlimited Winternachten Festival The Hague. Karimi's past experience includes significant positions at Oxfam Novib as CEO and on the Executive Board of Oxfam International, alongside consultancy work with UNDP. Karimi holds a Master's Degree in International Relations and International Organisations from the University of Groningen and attended Harvard Kennedy School for further education.
