Jen Wartena

Jen Wartena is an experienced professional in the shipbuilding and yacht manufacturing industry, currently serving as a Lecturer and Researcher at NHL Stenden since September 2024, focusing on educating future ship and yacht builders. With over 30 years of expertise, Jen has held significant roles including Consultant for Integrator Scheepsbouw BV, Interim CEO at Steeler Yachts from August 2022 to July 2024, and CEO at ICON Yachts from 2006 to 2020, where strategic growth and innovative engineering were prioritized. Jen's career also includes roles as Production Manager at Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw and Project Manager at both Volharding Shipyards and Pattje Shipyards. Jen holds a Master's degree in Marine Technology from Delft University of Technology, earned between 1987 and 1993.
