Alanna Masson

Alanna Masson is a highly experienced biomedical scientist currently serving as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist and Training & Quality Deputy at NHS Grampian since June 2022. Previously, Alanna held the position of Senior Biomedical Scientist - Training Officer at NHS Highland, overseeing the Haematology Team in Raigmore Blood Sciences Laboratory. Alanna's career began at NHS Tayside as a Trainee Biomedical Scientist and progressed through various roles at NHS Grampian, including Biomedical Support Worker and Specialist Biomedical Scientist focusing on Haematology. Alanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biomedical Science from Robert Gordon University and further advanced qualifications, including a Master of Science in Biomedical Science with Haematology and Transfusion Science from Ulster University and several specialist diplomas in Haematology. Recently, Alanna completed a Certificate of Expert Practice in Quality Management through IBMS.
