Established in 1982, Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City (NHSNYC) is a non-profit, HUD-certified housing counseling agency committed to revitalizing underserved neighborhoods and preserving affordable housing in New York City. In our ongoing effort to build strong communities, we are led by local residents and guided by local needs. NHSNYC is a chartered member of NeighborWorks® America, a national network of more than 235 affordable housing and community development organizations across the country and a Federally-certified Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI). NHSNYC is a community-based organization providing services throughout New York City, with targeted impact in the following neighborhoods: Bedford-Stuyvesant, East Flatbush, the North Bronx, Northern Queens, and the South Bronx.
