Ronald S. Vaughn

Ronald (Ron) S. Vaughn is the Executive Director at New Horizons. He holds dual Master's Degrees in Non-Profit Management and Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Ron completed a Graduate Certification in Applied Counseling and Human Services from the University of Maryland. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Nyack College of Business and Leadership. Ron has been working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 38 years. As Executive Director, Ron is responsible for the overall leadership and management of New Horizons. Ron’s duties include managing the strategic planning and assisting the board of directors in developing and maintaining the strategic direction while also developing, implementing, and executing the organizational budget. Ron is passionately committed to supporting and advocating for all individuals with disabilities. His goal is to empower each individual—helping them to realize their full potential through person-centered planning, personalized training, and tailored programs and services that promote independence, choices in career exploration, and community involvement.
