Kyle Truong

Kyle Truong is a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead Manager at Niantic Spatial, Inc., leading the AI team at 8th Wall since May 2025. Prior to this, Kyle held roles at Niantic, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI and Data Infrastructure, as well as platform infrastructure, after the acquisition of 8th Wall in March 2022. In earlier positions at 8th Wall, Kyle engineered the search and discovery infrastructure and launched user-generated content features. Kyle's professional journey began with an internship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where an internal web application was developed for scientists. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University - East Bay.
