Andy Zhang

Andy (Sheng) Zhang is currently a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Niantic, Inc., since December 2021, and previously held the position of Director of Data Science at ADARA, Inc. from February 2019 to December 2021, where responsibilities included planning and supervising core data science projects. Earlier roles include work as a Senior Data Scientist at Columbia University in 2018 and a Data Scientist Intern at KALO Inc., where significant contributions included developing machine learning models for product categorization and improving search accuracy. Andy has also contributed as a Student Data Scientist at S&P Global, focusing on predictive modeling, and as a Student Algorithm Developer at Imperative Fund, where the focus was on poverty elimination through optimized investment strategies. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Management Science & Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science with honors from UC San Diego.
