Saki Shinoda

Saki Shinoda is a Staff Software Engineer and Engineering Manager at Niantic, Inc. since May 2019, leading a team in delivering augmented reality capabilities and building infrastructure for AR, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning research. Saki has successfully managed a team of engineers, focusing on performance management and coaching. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at RKR Epsilon, where deep learning was applied to automated trading, and a Machine Learning Bioinformatics Graduate Intern at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. Saki also has experience in data science, technology, operations, and marketing communications from internships and roles at companies such as Metail, Goldman Sachs, and Syngenta. Saki holds a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a Master's Degree in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning from UCL.
