Christian Diener has a diverse and extensive work experience in the banking industry. Christian started their career at Commerzbank AG in 1997 as a Senior Credit Officer and worked there until 2005. Christian then joined ING Bank as a Senior Credit Portfolio Risk Analyst from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they moved to ABN AMRO as a Vice President/Senior Credit Risk Analyst and stayed there until 2009. Christian then joined RBS, where they held various roles including Senior Manager Corporate Credit Portfolio and Deputy Chief Credit Officer/RBS NV from 2009 to 2016. Christian then joined ING as a Senior Consultant and worked there as an interim from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they are working as a Director/Group Risk Management at NIBC Bank since January 2021, and prior to that, they worked there as a Project Lead Risk on an interim basis from 2019 to 2020.
Christian Diener completed their education in two institutions. Christian obtained a BA in Banking & Finance from Inholland University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they pursued a Masters Degree in International Financial Economics at the University of Amsterdam from 1997 to 2000. Christian also holds a certification in Certified Financial Risk Management (FRM) from the GARP FRM Program, which they obtained in 2002.
