D.M. Sluimers

Mr Dick Sluimers was appointed to the Supervisory Board in 2016 and was appointed Chair of the Supervisory Board in 2019. In addition to this role at NIBC, Mr Sluimers is the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Euronext Paris and member of the supervisory board at Akzo Nobel N.V. He is also a member of the board of directors at FWD Group Limited and member of the advisory board of Spencer Stuart Executive Search. In addition, Mr Sluimers is a member of the board of governors of the Netherlands State Academy of Finance and Economics (Rijksacademie voor Financien en Economie), extraordinary state councilor at the Council of State, a member of the board of trustees at Erasmus University Trust Fund, a board member at the Amsterdam Concert Hall Fund, an advisor at Quore Capital, Hakluyt & Company and Hemingway Corporate Finance and Chairman of the Board of the Thorbeckefonds. Mr Sluimers was the former chairman of the executive board of the Algemene Pensioen Groep N.V. (APG Group) (2008 - 2015). Most recently, Mr Sluimers was a member of the board of directors of the Research Institute Netspar (2009 - 2015), member of management at Holland Financial Centre (2007 - 2015), member of the board of trustees at the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (2011 - 2015) and member of the supervisory board at Golfteam Holland (2007 - 2015). Mr Sluimers holds an Economics degree from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Political Science degree from the University of Amsterdam.
