B. Barry Toure

B. Barry Toure, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in drug discovery with a robust background in medicinal chemistry and project leadership. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Drug Discovery at Nido Biosciences since January 2022, Toure previously held the position of Vice President of Drug Discovery at 4:59 NewCo, a 5AM Ventures Company, from July 2019 to December 2021. Toure's experience also includes significant roles at Relay Therapeutics, Inc., as Senior Director and Director in medicinal chemistry, and at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as Investigator III and Project Team Leader in neuroscience chemistry and oncology chemistry. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Alberta, a postdoctoral fellowship in Organic Chemistry from Columbia University, and a Master's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Montreal Clinical Research Institute.
