Maarten Spit

Maarten Spit is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Director at Nielen Schuman since December 2021, having previously held the position of Associate Director. Before joining Nielen Schuman, Maarten Spit worked at NIBC Mezzanine & Equity Partners from September 2017 to December 2021 as Investment Director, focusing on providing risk-bearing capital to Dutch and German companies for growth and buy-out plans. Prior roles include Associate Director Leveraged Finance and various positions in Leveraged Finance at NIBC Bank from April 2011 to August 2017, as well as an internship as a corporate finance analyst at Sequoia in 2010. Maarten Spit holds two Master's degrees in Business Administration from the University of Groningen, with specializations in Organizational & Management Control and Finance, the latter obtained with honors.
