Meike Sterken

Meike Sterken is an experienced event management professional with a focus on production and marketing within the film and festival industry. Currently, at Nieuwe Veste, Meike manages, organizes, and supports various events, overseeing every aspect from planning to execution and aftersales. In addition, Meike collaborates with young professionals at Issue Killers to develop societal campaigns. Previous roles include production leader for the Arab Film Festival Rotterdam, producer for the Go Short International Short Film Festival, and manager of marketing and public relations at Taartrovers Film Festival. Meike has also worked as an internal manager at QX vastgoed and contributed as a teaching assistant at Breda University of Applied Sciences. Educational qualifications include a degree from Breda University of Applied Sciences, completed in 2020.
