Kathy McElwee

Interim CFO at Nifty Games

Kathy McElwee has held the role of CFO for nine different companies over the past 20 years. Kathy began their career in 1999 as CFO for Lightspan, followed by The 3DO Company in 2000. From 2002 to 2006, they served as CFO for SourceForge, Inc., where they reduced cash burn and steadily improved EPS from ($1.73) to $0.02. Kathy then moved on to WageWorks as CFO, where they readied the company for an IPO by completely rebuilding the accounting staff, completing the audit in 3 months instead of 9 months, consistently reporting results in 10 days, and drafting S1. In 2009, they became CFO of Wall Street On Demand, where they developed a cohesive financial story, served as primary liaison for bankers and lawyers, and managed due diligence for several strategic buyers, leading to a successful exit strategy for Goldman Sachs and sale to a preferred strategic partner. From 2011 to 2014, they retired and enjoyed activities such as renovating a 100 year old home, walking dogs on Mt. Tabor, taking yoga classes, and learning Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian. In 2016, they returned to the workforce as Finance Manager for CAMPO SANTO PRODUCTIONS LLC. Kathy then took on the role of Interim CFO for Nifty Games in 2018, followed by CFO for AdHoc Studio.

Kathy McElwee attended Penn State University from 1975 to 1977, earning a BBA in Accounting. Kathy then attended The Wharton School from 1977 to 1979, earning an MBA in Finance.
