Eddie Ma

Eddie Ma has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Eddie currently serves as the VP of Engineering at Nifty Gateway and Gemini, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Engineering at Level from 2021 to 2022. From 2019 to 2021, they were the VP of Engineering at Lacuna Technologies, where they focused on developing technologies for urban mobility. Before that, they held the position of Director of Engineering at Uber from 2015 to 2019, overseeing AI-driven market forecasting and decision-making systems. Eddie Ma also worked at Facebook as a Senior Manager of Data Infrastructure from 2012 to 2015, where they led the transformation of the company's data warehouse. Eddie started their career at Microsoft Corporation in 2011, where they held the role of Principal Development Manager, responsible for disaster recovery and backup services. Prior to that, they worked at VMware as a Sr. Manager in various roles, leading storage management and clustering services. Eddie Ma began their career at Brocade as a Staff Engineer, designing and implementing storage management platforms. Eddie also worked as a Contractor Consultant at Cisco Systems, leading optical telecommunication device management projects. Eddie Ma obtained a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Peking University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Eddie further pursued their education by earning an M.Sc. in Computer Science from York University, where they attended from 1998 to 2000. Eddie Ma then decided to broaden their knowledge in the field of Business Administration and obtained a Master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Eddie studied at UC Berkeley from 2003 to 2006 to acquire their business education.
