Lance Gerstner

Lance Gerstner's work experience includes being a Principal Backend Engineer at Nifty Island since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at UnhedgedApp from 2019 to 2022, where they built and maintained Kubernetes clusters, developed custom APIs, deployed and managed databases, and integrated external data sources. Before that, Lance held various roles at Hays Medical Center as a Network Engineer and Network Analyst from 2014 to 2019. Lance also owned Dynamics Design Solutions from 1998 to 2019, where they created hosting solutions, developed code packages, and implemented dynamic websites for clients. Additionally, Lance worked as the Director of the Instructional Resource Center at Fort Hays State University from 2004 to 2014, where they designed and implemented a data collection and reporting system. Lance also worked at the Information Networking and Telecommunications Department at FHSU as a Cisco Networking Helpdesk from 2000 to 2004, providing technical support and curriculum assistance to students. Lastly, Lance worked as an Assistant Manager at Dickinson Theatres from 1999 to 2004.

Lance Gerstner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Networking and Telecommunications from Fort Hays State University in the year 2005. Lance further pursued a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from the same institution, completing it in 2008. Additionally, Lance holds certifications as a Cisco Certified Network Professional, obtained in 2002, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate, obtained in 2000.
