Hauwa Mshelia has extensive experience at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, having worked there since April 2000. Currently serving as the Manager of Strategy & Business Development for NAPIMS, Hauwa has held several key positions including Manager of Economics & Decision Support, Supervisor of Production Sharing Contracts Planning, Deputy Manager of Market Intelligence, Head of Market Intelligence & Technology, Commercial Analyst, and Petroleum Economist. Earlier experience as a Process Engineer was gained from April 2000 to September 2006. Hauwa holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds, earned between 1991 and 1994.
