Dave Baumgartner is an accomplished cybersecurity executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as an Advisor at NightDragon since February 2024, Dave previously held key positions at Google as the Mandiant EVP - Google Security Executive and at Mandiant as the EVP, Security & Technology Leader. Throughout a tenure that began with Mandiant in 2012, Dave played a crucial role in launching strategic consulting capabilities and overseeing significant incidents, including the SolarWinds intrusion. Additional roles include Chief Technology Officer at FireEye, where Dave led strategic discussions with investors, and Vice President of Cyber Security at Target, where responsibilities encompassed Cyber Threat Intelligence and the Cyber Fusion Center. Dave's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Information Security from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management from the University of Minnesota Crookston.
