Pasi Soininen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of laboratory operations, analytical chemistry R&D, metabolomics research, and teaching. Pasi is the Laboratory Director and Founder of Nightingale Health Ltd, where they are responsible for directing laboratory operations and leading the development of analytical chemistry. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Eastern Finland as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of pharmaceutical chemistry, where they focused on developing quantitative high-throughput NMR methods for metabolomics research and teaching basic chemistry and NMR spectroscopy. Additionally, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they developed NMR metabolic profiling methodologies and set up an NMR metabolomics laboratory. Soininen also had a role as a Technical Assessor at FINAS-akkreditointipalvelu.

Pasi Soininen attended the University of Eastern Finland from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Master's degree in Biochemistry. Pasi then pursued further education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Chemistry at the same institution from 2002 to 2008. In 2015, Pasi Soininen attended the University of Oulu and obtained the title of Docent in Epidemiological metabolomics.
