Michael Laubenthal, CFA

Michael Laubenthal, CFA has over 15 years of experience in finance and advisory roles. Michael has worked as an Investment Professional at Equilibrium Capital, Head of Project Finance at Recurrent Energy, and in Acquisitions & Project Finance at Renewable Energy Trust Capital. Michael has also worked in Transaction Services and Assurance Services at PwC. In 2018, they became the Principal & Founder of Otter Bay Advisory, which advises early stage/high growth businesses in Technology, Energy, and Real Estate. Additionally, Michael worked as a CFO at Nightpeak Energy from July 2022.

Michael Laubenthal, CFA completed their Bachelor's degree with a major in finance and economics from Santa Clara University. Michael then studied finance, economics, and culture at Imperial College London. Prior to that, they attended Central Catholic High School in Portland. In 2013, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute. Besides, they were also certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), but currently inactive, from California Board of Accountancy.
