Rafael Olaechea

Rafael Olaechea is a Senior Software Engineer at NightVision since December 2023, previously working as a Software Engineer at Flexport following the acquisition of the Shopify Logistics Division from June 2023 to October 2023. Prior to that, Rafael served as a Backend Engineer at Shopify from August 2022 to June 2023 and held roles as a Senior Software Developer and Software Engineer at Avidbots Corp. from December 2019 to July 2022. Initial experience includes software development for the Ministerio de Energia y Minas in Peru and web development at Aureal Systems. Rafael also worked as a Financial Software Developer at Bloomberg L.P. in London from September 2007 to November 2008. Educational achievements include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, along with a Master of Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science, also in Computer Science, from the same and McGill University, respectively.
