Jim Xiao

Jim Xiao has over 17 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Jim currently serves as the VP and Head of Clinical Pharmacology and DMPK at NiKang Therapeutics Inc., a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of Preclinical and Clinical Sciences at Akeso, Inc. from October 2021 to April 2022. Before joining Akeso, Inc., Jim held various roles at Clovis Oncology, including VP, Head of Clinical Pharmacology and DMPK from March 2021 to October 2021, Senior Director from March 2018 to March 2021, Director from March 2017 to March 2018, and Associate Director from February 2015 to February 2017. Jim also worked as a Principal Scientist at Amgen from January 2013 to February 2015 and as a Scientist Clinical Pharmacology at Genentech from June 2010 to January 2013. Jim's early career included positions as a Senior PK Scientist at Amgen from March 2008 to June 2010 and as a PK Scientist at amgen from February 2005 to March 2008.

Jim Xiao has a strong educational background in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacokinetics. Jim obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University in 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry at the Institute of Material Medica, Beijing China from 1996 to 1999. Jim then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Later, they completed a post-doctoral program at The Ohio State University in 2005, focusing on Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics.
