Alan John

Alan John currently serves as the Global Head of Data & AI at Nike, a role assumed in May 2024 after founding and leading Discoverist.ai as CEO from January 2023 to May 2024. Between 2021 and 2022, Alan held the position of Vice President of Engineering at StockX and was responsible for AI/ML and data platforms. Prior experience includes Vice President roles at Oracle and Nordstrom, focusing on engineering and product development for cloud infrastructure and digital transformation. Alan also led engineering teams at Coupang, Microsoft, and Amazon.com, building data platforms and enabling growth through technology. Earlier career developments include various software engineering positions at different companies, culminating in leadership roles at Level 3 Communications, where Alan directed a global technology team. Alan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Bangalore University.
