Zach Butler

Zach Butler is a knowledgeable professional in engineering and product performance, currently serving as the Director of Footwear, Product Performance Engineering at Nike since January 2023. In this role, Zach has successfully established a new engineering function, shaping its vision and operations while integrating biomechanical insights into product development. Prior to Nike, Zach was the R&D Engineering Manager at Trek Bicycle from December 2014 to November 2022, where significant advancements were made in scaling the Trek Performance Research organization and enhancing engineering capabilities. Zach's experience also includes leadership roles in Road Engineering and analysis engineering at Trek, as well as positions at Bell Helicopter, Broadstar Wind Corporation, and Stryker Communications. Zach holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
