Nicolo de Groot is a Professor in experimental particle physics at Radboud University Nijmegen since August 2004, where involvement includes the ATLAS experiment at CERN focused on Higgs physics and cosmic neutrinos. In addition, Nicolo serves as Vice Dean of Education, overseeing the educational programs for over 3000 students and 500 teaching staff, and as Director of the School of Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy at Nikhef since July 2004. Prior experience includes positions as a senior researcher at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, lecturer in physics at the University of Bristol, research associate at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, and research associate at CERN. Nicolo's educational background includes a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Amsterdam and earlier studies at the University of Twente and RSG Noord-Kennemerland.
