Kushan Bandara

Kushan Bandara is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in electrical engineering and operations, particularly in the protection systems of generators and transformers. Currently serving as a Senior Protection Engineer at Niko Engineering Limited since November 2025, Kushan previously held the role of Senior Design Engineer at Edison Consulting Group from March 2023 to November 2025. Kushan's background includes significant positions at Ceylon Electricity Board, where roles included Chief Engineer for Operations & Maintenance and Electrical Engineer in Generation Protection, contributing from May 2016 to April 2023. Earlier career experiences encompass roles at Lanka Electricity Company Private Limited and Aitken Spence Power (Pvt) Ltd, focusing on system development and operational duties, respectively. Kushan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and a Master of Engineering from the University of Peradeniya.
