Ludovic Marigo-Lombart, Ph.D

Ludovic Marigo-Lombart, Ph.D has extensive work experience in the fields of technology, engineering, and research. Ludovic is currently serving as the Technical Project Lead at NIL Technology since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at II-VI Incorporated as an R&D Engineer from August 2018 to February 2022.

From November 2014 to August 2018, Ludovic worked as a Ph.D Researcher at LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse, France, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium. Ludovic focused on vertical integration of an Electro-Absorption Modulator (EAM) on a Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) and excelled in various areas, including optical and electrical design, fabrication, and characterization. Their accomplishments include achieving record high-speed data com modulation, presenting at multiple international and national conferences, and being the lead author of four scientific papers.

Ludovic's earlier work experience includes serving as an Apprentice Engineer for Electrical Characterization R&D at SOITEC from September 2010 to September 2013. Ludovic conducted electrical characterizations of SOI wafers and contributed to statistical studies and the development of new characterization benches. Ludovic also completed a research internship at SOITEC, focusing on the wafer chip of P-N junction by SmartCut at low temperature, where they conducted electrical and physical measurements.

Additionally, Ludovic gained research experience through a research internship at the Nanoelectronics laboratory of the University of Granada from May 2012 to August 2012.
