Vladimir Miljkovic

Head of Mastering at NIL Technology ApS

Vladimir Miljkovic has a diverse work experience in the field of nanotechnology and engineering. Vladimir has held various roles at NIL Technology, starting from being a Production and Process Development Engineer in Micro- and Nanofabrications in 2013. Vladimir then progressed to become a Senior Production Engineer, Team Leader in 2019, and later served as the Team Leader DOE Mastering and Head of Mastering in the company.

Before joining NIL Technology, Vladimir worked at Chalmers University of Technology as a Researcher in Nanotechnologies for Solar Cells. Vladimir was involved in research and development of plasmonic and photonic thin-film solar cells and photovoltaic devices. Additionally, they conducted research on plasmonic nanostructures in nano-optics and optical metamaterials for applications in sensing and optical forces as part of their Ph.D. in Physics at the same university.

Vladimir also gained international experience as a Visiting Ph.D. student at Rice University, where they worked on a project related to plasmonic nanowires for unidirectional broadband light emission. During this period, they enhanced their skills in Comsol multiphysics and developed an analytical method for calculating the far-field angular distribution of light scattering.

Vladimir'sacademic journey started at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, where they completed their B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Optoelectronics and laser techniques.

Overall, Vladimir Miljkovic has acquired expertise in mastering, production engineering, process development, nanotechnologies, plasmonic structures, and optical metamaterials throughout their career.

Vladimir Miljkovic completed their Ph.D. in Nanophotonics-Plasmonics at Chalmers University of Technology from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2006, they obtained their M.Sc. in Optoelectronics and laser techniques at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. Vladimir began their education at the IT Gymnasium - School of Electric Engineering "Nikola Tesla" in Belgrade, Serbia, where they focused on Computer Science and graduated with a major in that field from 1997 to 2001. There is no further information available about their education at SFI.
