Veena Iyer currently serves as the Executive Director of the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota since September 2019. Prior to this role, Veena Iyer was involved with Nilan Johnson Lewis PA, progressing from Associate to Shareholder and eventually to Of Counsel, starting in September 2011. Additionally, Veena Iyer held the position of Past President at MNAPABA from 2014 to 2015. Earlier career experiences include serving as a Law Clerk for both Judge Natalie Hudson at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Judge Susan Burke at the Hennepin County District Court. Veena Iyer started as an Equal Justice Works Fellow and Staff Attorney at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago and also completed a Law Clerkship with Judge Matthew Kennelly at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and an A.B. in History from the University of Chicago.
